Receiving a postcard from the road 🙂
We really want to share our story, our journey with you. Now we can do this in a new dimension. We’ve thought about this for a while and got the chance to set it up. We cycle through many small towns and cities with their own story and often there is a postcard to be found. This postcard can be sent to you, just fill in the form on the left and make the 10$ payment. Yes, this payment is a bit more than the cost to buy and send the postcard, so you will also support us on our journey!
We are travelling through some wonderful places and love to share our story with you.
How it works: when payment is received and we can post the postcard we will either send one we have brought along the way or one from where we are and send it as soon as possible. Of course this is done by traditional postal service so expect that it will take a few weeks to arrive to your mailbox.
On the postcard we will share where we are and what our feelings are. And we will even incorporate a personal drawing or doodle! We will do our best to be timely on the posting of the postcards, please bare in mind that we might be cycling in a region with little internet.
Please fill in your address completely else we will have a hard time mailing the postcard to you 🙂
Below we have created a line of updates from every time we send one or more postcards from the road.
The plains of Po meeting Bologna
We left off in Meran, where we stayed for 3 nights refuelling and relaxing. Meran was an interesting blend of cultures as Meran is a part of South Tyrol and main language is German, this [...]
Rhythm, Reschen and rich history
When waking up at our perfect snowy camp spot outside Pfunds we stayed in bed a little bit longer which messed up our rhythm. Susanne was cranky all day even though the weather was beautiful. [...]
Are we really cycling through the Alps?
What are we getting ourselves into? Do people think we are really crazy cycling through the alps? We should be in a warm cozy house right now, not riding up into the Alps on a [...]
Up the plateau and down to the Bodensee
Leaving Tubingen we were enthusiastic about the next phase of the journey. However our knees were less enthusiastic. We had some reflecting to do and after biking up some hills in the center of Tubingen [...]
Old modern milk farming in the Swabian Alps
We were searching for a place for our tent and these days the weather is unpredictable, so we have been trying to find shelter in barns or sheds by farmers. This day we were in [...]
Pushing south and heading inland
Leaving Koblenz we were curious what else Germany would have in store for us. We cycled in the afternoon along the Rhein where there are multiple Unesco World Heritage villages until we reached Bad Salzig. [...]
